Animal studies

I've had to do some research of late for a new project and I thought, what better place than the zoo! I could not have been more wrong. The sad sorry state of the Tygerberg zoo, left me very sad. Lions pacing up and down their small enclosures, chimps sitting hunched up, head low as if they just didn't care anymore. Just sad. sad. sad. My feeling is that these animals would all be much better off relocated to more suitable environments and enclosures. But what can be done?
